 การแสดง AFTER (อาฟเตอร์) เป็นเรื่องราวส่วนตัวของ Yang, Shih-Hao นักแสดงกายกรรมที่สร้างสรรค์งานในวัยใกล้สามสิบ การแสดงชุดนี้จะพาเราไปสำรวจภาพ “การรังสรรค์ศิลปะกายกรรม” ที่สะท้อนสภาพร่างกาย ประสบการณ์ชีวิต การฝึกทักษะกายกรรม และความสามารถในการเคลื่อนไหวร่างกายของตัวศิลปิน  อะไรเป็นแรงขับเคลื่อนและความเป็นได้ใหม่ๆ จากกระบวนการนี้ เราจะสามารถเพิ่มอะไรเข้าไปในศิลปะกายกรรมและทำให้มันแปลกใหม่ไปจากเดิมได้บ้าง ?

 

Shih-Hao ทุ่มเทเวลาเกือบสามปีกับการค้นหาและพัฒนาสิ่งที่เรียกว่า “กายกรรมแบบร่วมสมัย” เพื่อทำการแสดงชุดนี้ เขายังค้นคว้าเทคนิคการแสดงกายกรรมผ่านงานวิจัยและบทสัมภาษณ์ประวัติศาสตร์กายกรรมของประเทศไต้หวัน ศึกษาอุปกรณ์การแสดงที่เขาใช้เป็นประจำอย่าง cyr wheel (ห่วงกายกรรม) ทบทวนประสบการณ์การฝึกซ้อมของตนเอง เขาพยายามทำความเข้าใจความหมายของ “ชีวิต การเคลื่อนไหว และร่องรอยระหว่างทาง” ผ่านการแสดงออกทางร่างกาย อุปกรณ์กายกรรมและการสื่อสารผ่านท่วงท่าและลีลาต่างๆ

“AFTER” is a personal journey of Yang Shih-Hao, a circus artist who was turning 30. The performance examines how he reflects on “the form of circus creation” from physical condition, life experience, technical training, and body mobility. However, what are the new possibilities and motives? What can be new in the field of circus?

 

In the show “AFTER”, Shih-Hao had spent nearly three years to discover the so-called “contemporary circus” step by step and further rethink about the technique in circus through researches on and interviews of Taiwan’s circus history, his close performing object – cyr wheel and his personal training experience. Through the expression of his body, the object and the discourse, he tries to understand the meaning of life mobility and the traces being created along the way.

Yang Shih-Hao

Yang Shih-Hao เกิดในไทเป เขาเป็นผู้ก่อตั้งและผู้อำนวยการศิลป์ของกลุ่มเซอร์คัส เกท เขาเริ่มสนใจการแสดงแบบกายกรรมผ่านการเต้นบี บอยในปี 2554 จากนั้นเขาเริ่มเข้าร่วมเทศกาลกายกรรมนานาชาติมากมายด้วยการแสดงโยนหมวก จากนั้นจึงเริ่มฝึกฝนห่วงกายกรรมในปี 2558 และในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา เขามุ่งมั่นพัฒนางานที่เป็นกายกรรมร่วมสมัย มีการบันทึกและค้นคว้าวิจัยด้านประวัติศาสตร์กายกรรมไต้หวันและบริบททางด้านวัฒนธรรม ปัจจุบัน เขาได้เป็นผู้ริเริ่มชวนทีมงานมาสำรวจเรื่องผลกระทบและความสัมพันธ์ของกายกรรมกับสังคม ผลงานล่าสุดของ Shih-Hao ได้แก่  Circus Park (2563) ที่เชื่อมโยงพื้นที่สาธารณะหลากหลายแห่งด้วยการแสดงกายกรรม และเขาได้รับการสนับสนุนจาก โปรแกรม Young Stars New Vision โดย National Culture and Arts Foundation ในปี 2566 ให้แสดงผลงานเดี่ยว After ใน 3 โรงละครหลักของไต้หวัน 3 แห่ง

Yang Shih-hao

Born in Taipei, Yang, Shih-Hao is a founder and artistic director of Circus Gate. He came into the circus through Bboy dancing in 2011, then he started participating in different international circus festivals from hat juggling. He also trained the Cyr-wheel in 2015 and has been committed to the development of contemporary circus work, recording and research on Taiwan circus history and cultural context in recent years. Now he is leading the team to explore the impact and relationship of Circus on society. Recent works include “Circus Park” in 2020, which connects public spaces through circus performances, and “After” a solo performance in the 2023 NCAF’s Young Stars New Vision platform, touring to Taiwan’s three major international theaters.

Circus Gate (เซอร์คัส เกท)

เซอร์คัส เกท เป็นกลุ่มละครที่สนใจการฟื้นฟูการแสดงกายกรรมของไต้หวันยุค 70 และ 80 ที่เชิญชวนให้ผู้ชมมามีส่วนร่วม และ เชื่อมโยงผู้คนที่มีที่มาแตกต่างกัน ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา เซอร์คัส เกท มุ่งเน้นไปที่การทำ Social Circus เป็นหัวใจหลักขององค์กร 

เซอร์คัส เกท ได้สร้างสรรค์ผลงานแนวทดลองที่เชิญชวนผู้ชมมามีส่วนร่วม โดยได้ลองใช้วิธีการหลากหลายรูปแบบในการทำงานกายกรรมร่วมสมัยโดยหวังว่า ศิลปะการแสดงประเภทกายกรรมจะไม่ถูกมองเป็นเพียงแค่การแสดงความสนุกสนาน แต่เป็นสิ่งที่มีความเชื่อมโยงกับวิถีทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมอย่างลึกซึ้ง อีกทั้งยังมีความหมายในเชิงจิตวิญญาณ
