นอกจากการแสดงแล้ว ใน BICT Fest 2018 ยังมีอีก 9 เวิร์กชอปสำหรับเด็ก ครอบครัว นักการละคร และผู้สนใจทั่วไป
There were 9 workshops for children and adults by invited companies throughout the two-week long festival in BICT Fest 2018.

อีกหนึ่งกิจกรรมสำคัญของ BICT Fest คือส่วนของฟอรั่ม ที่ดำเนินควบคู่ไปกับโปรแกรมการแสดงในเทศกาล นอกจากจะเป็นพื้นที่ให้ผู้ชมได้สะท้อนถึงบทบาทของความสร้างสรรค์ในพัฒนาการเด็กและศิลปะการแสดงสำหรับเด็กแล้ว ฟอรั่มก็ยังเป็นเหมือนจุดพบปะระหว่างศิลปินและผู้ชม เพื่อให้ได้มีโอกาสในการถกความคิด และแลกเปลี่ยนซึ่งกันและกัน เกี่ยวกับตัวการแสดงอีกด้วย โดยในปีนี้ ได้รับความร่วมมือจากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัยในการร่วมจัด BICT Fest 2018 ฟอรั่ม และได้รับการสนับสนุนจากเจแปนฟาวด์เดชั่น กรุงเทพฯ ในส่วนของการจัดวงประชุมกลุ่มผู้สร้างสรรค์ละครสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชนในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

An important feature of BICT Fest is the BICT Fest Forum that runs alongside the festival’s showcase and workshops. The forum not only provides a place for audiences to reflect on subjects relating to the role of creativity in children’s development and theatre for young audiences, but also importantly provides a meeting point for artists and audiences to explore, discuss and exchange ideas in relation to the curated programmes. BICT Fest 2018 Forum is in collaboration with Chulalongkorn University.

เวทีเสวนาของ BICT Fest ในครั้งนี้ได้พูดคุยเชิงลึกถึงหัวข้อสำคัญต่าง ๆ เพื่อต่อยอดและเสริมประเด็นที่ปรากฏในการแสดงของเทศกาลกับวิทยากรและผู้เชี่ยวชาญหลากหลายท่าน แบ่งออกเป็น 3 ส่วน คือ 1) วงเสวนาโดยผู้จัดงานเทศกาลนานาชาติ 2) วงเสวนา 3) วงประชุมกลุ่มคนทำงานละครเพื่อเด็กและเยาวชน เอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้

The BICT Fest Forum hosted a series of insightful talks that examine important themes and topics that complement the performances. Our sessions were separated in 3 categories 1) An International Panel of Festival Programmers 2) Talks 3) Southeast Asia Theatre for Young Audiences Meeting

– “ว่าแต่กายกรรมรูปแบบใหม่คืออะไรนะ?”
โปรแกรม French Highlights ใน BICT Fest 2018 ซึ่งได้รับความร่วมมือจากสถานฑูตฝรั่งเศส และ La Fete นั้น มีการแสดงประเภทกายกรรมแบบใหม่ อยู่ 2 ชิ้น ได้แก่ “Flaque” โดย Defrecto และ “Sarabande” โดย Noémi Boutin กับ Jörg Müller
Vanessa Silvy จากสถานฑูตฝรั่งเศสประจำประเทศไทย และอดีตหัวหน้าฝ่ายศิลปะการแสดงของ Institut Français ในปารีส ซึ่งเป็นผู้เชี่ยวชาญด้าน กายกรรม ละครหุ่น และ Street Arts จะมาไขความกระจ่างถึงความแตกต่างระหว่างกายกรรมรูปแบบใหม่และแบบดั้งเดิมที่เรารู้จักกันดี

– “But what is the New Circus?”
The French Highlights at BICT Fest 2018 in Partnerships with the French Embassy and La Fete consists of two distinct New Circus performances from France: Flaque by Defracto, and Sarabande by Noémi Boutin and Jörg Müller. Vanessa Silvy, of The French Embassy in Thailand and former Head of Circus and Puppetry Arts at Institut Français Paris shed light on the differences between the new circus and the traditional circus that we used to know.

– “การสร้างสรรค์พื้นที่ Inclusive สำหรับเด็กและเยาวชน”
ฟิโอนา เฟอร์กูสัน (ผู้อำนวยการฝ่ายจัดโปรแกรมสร้างสรรค์ขององค์กร Imaginate สก็อตแลนด์) จะมาเล่าถึงความสำคัญของงานด้านการพัฒนาองค์กร Imaginate ซึ่งดำเนินควบคู่ไปกับเทศกาลละครนานาชาติสำหรับเด็กในเอดินเบอระ โดยจะพิจารณากรณีศึกษาและโครงการต่างๆ เพื่อดูว่าการแสดงที่เปิดกว้างให้ทุกคนแม้จะเป็นผู้ที่มีความต้องการพิเศษ หรือการแสดงแบบ inclusive นั้น จะปลูกเมล็ดและให้แรงบันดาลใจในการสร้างสรรค์สำหรับเยาวชนได้อย่างไร

– “Creating Inclusive Platforms for Young Audiences”
Fiona Ferguson, creative development director at Imaginate Scotland shared about the importance of developmental work at Imaginate that runs parallel with The Edinburgh International Children’s Festival. Using several case studies and projects, she shared how and to what extent inclusive performances can cultivate and inspire creativity in young people.

– “Applying Circus Art in Communities”
Circus art can also be used as a tool in educational and community settings. Thanupon Yindee, a Chiang Mai-based theatre maker and a former Makhampom Theatre Group has incorporated theatre and contemporary circus skills in his work to empower local communities across Thailand. He shared with us his experiences with Circus on the Edge, a circus youth group from ethnic minority community in Chiang Dao, Chiang Mai.

ฟอรั่มของ BICT เปิดพื้นที่ให้สองกลุ่มละครไทยที่เป็นศิลปินในเทศกาลปีนี้ ได้มาแบ่งปันประสบการณ์การทำงานของพวกเขาในทศวรรษที่ผ่านมา ทั้งพระจันทร์เสี้ยวและเบบี้ไมม์เป็นกลุ่มละครที่เป็นที่รู้จัก และมีการสร้างงานสำหรับผู้ชมวัยเยาว์และครอบครัว มาลองฟังกันว่าประสบการณ์และมุมมองของทั้งสองกลุ่มในการทำงานประเภทดังกล่าวในบริบทของประเทศไทยนั้นเป็นอย่างไร

– “Artist Talks: Spotlight Thailand”
The forum provided a platform for two local companies, commissioned by BICT Fest 2018, to share about the works that they have developed over the past decade. Crescentmoon Theatre and Babymime are both reputable theatre companies who create works that appeal to young audiences and their families. These two companies shared their experiences and perspective on creating such performances in the context of Thailand.

วงประชุมกลุ่มผู้สร้างสรรค์ละครสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชนในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ (SEA TYA Meeting)
วงประชุมกลุ่มผู้สร้างสรรค์ละครสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชนในเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ หรือ SEA TYA Meeting เป็นการประชุมพิเศษที่เกิดขึ้นที่ BICT Fest ปี 2561 จัดขึ้นโดย BICT Fest โดยการสนับสนุนของเจแปนฟาวน์เดชั่น กรุงเทพฯ และเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของ *BICT Fest ฟอรั่ม โดยมีจุดประสงค์ในการต่อยอดและกระชับความสัมพันธ์ของเครือข่ายผู้สร้างสรรค์การละครสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชน (TYA) มืออาชีพ และเพื่อวิธีการใหม่ๆ ในการขยายเครือข่าย ในปีนี้ การสนทนาจะมุ่งเน้นทำความเข้าใจเชิงลึกเกี่ยวกับสถานการณ์ในปัจจุบันของผู้สร้างสรรค์การละครสำหรับเด็กและเยาวชนในภูมิภาค เพื่อเป็นแนวทางในการต่อยอดบทสนทนา และหาความเป็นไปได้ของความร่วมมือระหว่างกันในอนาคต

3) Southeast Asia Theatre for Young Audiences Meeting
Unique to BICT Fest 2018, a SEA TYA Meeting, organized by BICT Fest with the support from the Japan Foundation Bangkok, will be a part of the BICT Fest Forum. The aim of the meeting is to continue to cultivate the existing bonds amongst the TYA professionals and also to find new ways to expand the network. This year, the conversation will focus on gaining a deeper understanding of the current TYA situation in the region as a way to further dialogues and explore future collaborations.
