(TBC) ในที่นี้ไม่ได้เป็นคำขอโทษ แต่เป็นวิธีการทำงานรูปแบบหนึ่ง ที่เกิดจากคำถามง่าย ๆ ว่า: จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น หากเราอยู่ใกล้กับบางสิ่งนานพอ จนมันเริ่มมีความหมายขึ้นมา? แล้วสิ่งนั้นคืออะไรกันแน่? พวกเรายังไม่รู้ แล้วคุณล่ะ รู้ไหม?
ศิลปิน 5 คน จะใช้เวลา 6 สัปดาห์ในกรุงเทพฯ ทำงานร่วมกับมูลนิธิกระจกเงาเพื่อเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นในการทำความรู้จักกรุงเทพฯ ผลงานชิ้นนี้ที่กำลังจะเกิดขึ้นนั้นไม่ได้ถูกกำหนดไว้ล่วงหน้า และศิลปินก็ไม่ได้เดินทางมาพร้อมคำตอบอะไรทั้งนั้น แต่ผลงานชิ้นนี้จะค่อย ๆ ก่อรูปขึ้นจากสถานที่ วัสดุ พื้นผิว ความย้อนแย้ง เรื่องเล่าที่บังเอิญได้ยิน และเรื่องที่เข้าใจผิดโดยไม่ได้ตั้งใจ ทั้งหมดนี้ถูกเฝ้ามองผ่านความใกล้ชิด ความอดทน ความขี้เล่น ความชื่นชม และความพยายามซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าในการทำความเข้าใจกับสิ่งที่ไม่อาจพูดออกมาตรง ๆ ได้

(TBC) is less an apology, more a method. The question is simple: what happens when you stay close enough, long enough, that some thing starts to mean something? What is it? We don’t know yet, do you know?
Five artists, six weeks in Bangkok, working with and through The Mirror Foundation as a point of entry into the city. The work that emerges is not decided in advance, nor do the artists arrive with answers — it is made in response to: location, materials, textures, contradictions, stories overheard and respectfully misunderstood — all witnessed through proximity, patience, playfulness, admiration, and repeated attempts to understand what cannot be said directly.

Some Club คือกลุ่มศิลปินที่ขับเคลื่อนด้วยความสงสัยใคร่รู้ต่อการทำงานของสิ่งต่าง ๆ — ทั้งกลไกของโครงสร้างที่เห็นในชีวิตประจำวัน วิทยาศาสตร์ที่ซ่อนอยู่ในสิ่งคุ้นเคย รวมถึงสัญชาตญาณและพฤติกรรมที่มนุษย์มีร่วมกัน จากจุดตั้งต้นนี้ “การเล่น” จึงกลายเป็นกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ที่ตอบสนองต่อบริบท ชุมชน และลักษณะจำเพาะของแต่ละสถานที่สร้างงาน
พวกเราใช้วิทยาศาสตร์ วัฒนธรรม และชีวิตประจำวันมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ แม้รูปแบบของงานจะเปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามบริบท แต่คำถามเบื้องหลังยังคงเดิมเสมอ: จะเกิดอะไรขึ้น หากเราตั้งใจมองบางสิ่งอย่างใกล้ชิดมากพอ และเปิดพื้นที่ให้การเล่นมีอิสระมากพอ จนมีบางสิ่งที่แปลกใหม่งอกเงยขึ้นมา?

About the artist
Some Club is a collective driven by curiosity about how things work — the mechanics of everyday structures, the sciences underneath familiar things, the instincts and behaviours we share as people. From this foundation, play becomes a responsive practice: shaped by context, by community, and by the specific textures of wherever the work lands.
We draw from science, culture, and the everyday. Each context shifts the form — but the underlying question stays the same: what happens when you look closely enough and play openly enough, for something new to become visible?
Some Club is an invitation to play with the world differently.
For (TBC), specially created in response to The Mirror Foundation and Bangkok, we are honoured to have Jessica Heng (SG) and Tiffany Lay (TW) join us as fellow artists and collaborators.
