About the artist

Ting A Tong is a Thailand-based performing arts collective that creates playful and meaningful musical experiences for children. Founded in 2016, the group began by experimenting with toys and children’s instruments, transforming them into sound-based performances under the concept: “When Toys Can Sing.”

Over time, this approach has evolved into a distinctive performance language, where sound and music take the lead in storytelling—beyond words. Their works invite children to explore a world of listening, imagination, and play in an open and intuitive way.

Ting A Tong’s performances draw from a wide range of sound sources, including musical instruments, natural materials, and everyday objects. Often, these are small, overlooked sounds reimagined into vibrant sonic experiences. Through this process, children are encouraged to engage their senses, deepen their listening, and discover new possibilities within the world around them.
